Engage / Transformation – new show!

We are delighted to share news of an exciting new show created in collaboration with Imagineer Coventry as part of their ENGAGE programme. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and Arts Council England, Transformations ENGAGE offers Coventry-based creatives the opportunity to train with the dynamic professional team at Autin Dance Theatre.

Across July and August, participants continued working together to devise a brand-new piece of theatre, developing skills in performance, movement, and outdoor arts. This creative journey will culminate in a vibrant outdoor performance – Children of Chaos, bringing fresh stories and energy to the heart of Coventry for everyone to enjoy.

Children of Chaos

An outdoor spectacle of movement, balance and imagination Co-created by Transformations with Autin Dance Theatre Children of Chaos is a compelling 20-minute outdoor dance theatre performance, created with and performed by 11 diverse community participants. Together, they explore the line between chaosand order, individuality and unity, tension and trust.

Through mesmerising choreography and the skilful manipulation of wooden cogsbamboo poles and bodies in motion, the performers build, dismantle and reimagine structures in real time, inviting audiences to reflect on what it truly means to create something together.

Co-created by the Engage participants of Imagineer Productions’ Transformation Programme and Autin Dance Theatre, Children of Chaos is a celebration of collective creativity, community spirit and the transformative power of live performance in public space.

🗓️ Friday 22nd August | 2.15pm & 4.15pm

📍 Daimler Powerhouse, Coventry
