Introducing Zig Zag! Cast

We are thrilled to be launching the tour of our brand new outdoor show Zig Zag! and even more excited to introduce the incredible artists bringing it to life. This charming, non-verbal duet invites audiences of all ages (5+) into a playful world built from the simplest of objects—wooden reels—where small actions grow into big decisions. With humour, precision and beautifully crafted object manipulation, Zig Zag! journeys from chaos to calm, from connection to division, as two performers navigate, fix and rebuild their ever-changing environment.

We begin with Hannah Woodlife, who many of you will already recognise soaring above the crowd on our Giant Wheel. A highly accomplished freelance dance artist, Hannah has performed both nationally and internationally with companies including ACE Dance and Music, Motus Dance, Neoteric Dance Company and The Bowie Collective. Alongside her performance work, she is deeply passionate about community engagement and dance education, bringing her knowledge and energy into a wide range of settings.

Joining her is Charlie Hogan, another familiar face from our Giant Wheel performances and a much-loved dance leader in our school workshops. Trained at Trinity Laban and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Charlie has worked with a range of renowned choreographers and toured internationally before joining 2Faced Dance Company. His dynamic performance style and engaging presence make him a brilliant addition to Zig Zag!.

We are also delighted to welcome Mitchell Davis, who you may remember from last year’s Up in the Sky, where they quite literally had you looking upwards. Now, stepping onto the ground, Mitchell brings their distinctive artistry to this intimate duet. With a background that includes Motionhouse and Southpaw Dance Company, alongside performances at London Fashion Week, Mitchell combines athleticism with expressive clarity, alongside a strong commitment to dance education.

Last but certainly not least, we are excited to introduce Angharad Jones-Young, an exceptional performer many of you may have already encountered through Brum Pro Class. Originally from North Wales, Angharad has toured extensively with National Dance Company Wales and ACE Dance & Music, working with leading international choreographers. Now a freelance artist, she continues to perform, teach and inspire across a wide range of platforms.

We cannot wait to see these talented artists come together in a series of mesmerising duets as Zig Zag! begins its journey.
