Perform at WOW! Fest 2026 – Call for Community Groups

We’re inviting schools and community groups from across Walsall and the Black Country to take part in a special performance opportunity at WOW! Fest on Saturday 4th July. This is a chance for your participants to join a free dance workshop, either creating a new piece or developing an existing work, before showcasing it on an outdoor stage alongside professional dancers and local companies. As part of a vibrant two-day festival celebrating movement, creativity and connection in public spaces, up to 10 groups will be selected to perform within the Saturday programme. There is no minimum or maximum group size, and full guidance on safeguarding, risk assessments and participation will be provided.

Themes for Community Groups:
Moments of Wonder – exploring big and small moments that spark awe and imagination through movement and storytelling
🌍 Move Like the Earth – inspired by the rhythms and cycles of nature, from stillness to storms and human emotion

Performances will take place outdoors with minimal technical support, offering a relaxed and supportive environment to share work. We warmly encourage students, staff and families to stay and enjoy the rest of the festival, with professional performances, workshops and activities continuing throughout the day.
