Out of the Deep Blue – 2025 in review

This year marked an emotional moment for us as we completed Eko’s UK farewell tour of Out of the Deep Blue. While the full production will continue to be seen internationally, the beautiful story of Eko and Violet has now said its final goodbyes to audiences here in the UK.

Created in 2021, Out of the Deep Blue has toured extensively across the UK and internationally, visiting over 100 festivals and reaching more than 1,000,000 audience members worldwide. In the past year alone, during the UK farewell tour, Eko performed in front of over 55,000 audience members across 20 different venues, a truly remarkable final chapter for this much-loved Giant Puppet.

A powerful symbol of Autin Dance Theatre, Eko has captivated audiences with breathtaking visuals and storytelling, while opening up vital conversations around the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis. As we bring this UK tour to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us on this unforgettable journey. đź’™

Although the full show has now completed its UK run, this isn’t goodbye just yet. You may still spot Eko, the Sea Giant, appearing in surprise walkabouts across the country — and in 2026, the full production will continue its international journey, reaching new audiences around the globe. 🌍

Bookings for our next season are now open!
