New Work in Development:  Zig Zag!

We’re thrilled to announce that, with the support of  Applause, we’ve officially begun the Research & Development of our brand-new production Zig Zag!

Zig Zag!  is a light-hearted, non-verbal dance-theatre duet where two performers transform simple objects – dozens of wooden reels and bamboo rods – into a living landscape of choices. A rod becomes a line to cross, a bridge to share, or a rule to rethink; the reels roll, stack and scatter as obstacles, tools and meeting points. As lines are drawn and redrawn, they move from chaos to calm, connection to division – learning when to pause, repair and try again.

Designed for families and mixed-age audiences (recommended 5+), the show combines crisp physical comedy, inventive object manipulation and moments of partner acrobatics. With bold visual imagery, rhythmic pacing and audience-friendly interaction,  Zig Zag!  is perfectly suited for outdoor settings such as village greens, high streets and school playgrounds. Portable, low-tech and relaxed in tone, it’s a feel-good invitation to collaborate – to build, unbuild and build again – and to notice how small choices can shift the whole picture.

Currently in R&D and gearing up for festival previews in  2026, to find out more, please contact us at  hello@autindt.co.uk
