We’ve been blown away by the incredible participation in our lantern-making workshops for Light Up Fest. A huge thank you to our brilliant delivering artists, led by our education coordinator Natasha Boyes and supported by talented collaborators Hannah Woodliffe, Angharad Jones-Young and Freya Davis. Together we created 10 beautiful planters during the Loop learning workshops at the West Midlands Circus and Creation Centre, and continued sessions with Colmore Junior School (31 students), Chandos Primary (51 students) and Lift Montgomery School (28 students). We’ve also had the joy of working alongside wonderful community groups including BHCATS, Autistic Girls Network, Micro-Rainbow and the Journeys group, as well as collaborating with Birmingham Lantern Festival at Colmore BID and the Pen Museum. Seeing so many communities come together through creativity has been truly inspiring.
