Meet our Community Guardians

Time to find out a bit more about our workshop leaders who will be working with you during Parade’s outreach programmes. Let’s call them community guardians. Our dance and movement community leaders are here to support the community engagement associated with our touring work, Parade – The Giant Wheel. Thanks to these amazing artists, we are able to provide a more accessible and inclusive environment for our community cast and audiences.

My name is Amy. I am the Community Guardian in Stoke-on-Trent. I love that the parade is bringing people together! You should join because you will get the chance to meet new people and dance in an exciting event.

My name is Tori. I am the Community Guardian in Birmingham. I love how the parade brings everyone together, where the line of audience and performer is blurred, and we are brought together as one. You should join to connect with your community and creativity. You will be guided with enthusiasm, care and trust as you will lead on ideas to be moulded into the show. Be proud of who you are and where you live and give this creative movement opportunity a chance.

My name is Natasha. I am the Community Guardian in Winchester. I love how welcoming the show is, drawing an interactive crowd that provide a really supportive atmosphere. You should join because it’s a great way to connect with others and celebrate the area you are from in a fun way.

My name is Natalie. I am the Community Guardian in Winchester. I love the parade because  it gives every body the chance to dance and the opportunity to support culture in our local area. You should join because it’s a chance to be a part of something special and memorable!

My name is Eve. I am the Community Guardian in Whitehaven. I love meeting new people, moving my body, and making new things! I also enjoy dancing to techno music, cooking, and singing with my guitar. You should join because we will have fun, we will move and dance, we will create something together and get the chance to share our work with everyone!

My name is Darcy. I am the Community Guardian in Yeovil. I love the creativity of the show and that it’s accessible to everyone. You should join because it will be really fun and will bring our community closer together.
