Introducing BPC new artist coordinator

Ellen trained at Trinity Laban from 2018-2021. Since graduating they have taught for Ascension Dance Company, Mercurial Dance, Autin Dance Theatre and more. They have performed in large-scale community engagement projects such as Critical Mass and the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. They are currently involved in the BPC access and inclusion programme as a freelance dance artist. As an autistic person they are passionate about creating awareness and understanding of neurodivergence in dance, and would particularly love to create spaces for autistic dancers to share their experiences in future.

“I am really excited to be taking over the role of Brum Pro Class Co-ordinator from the lovely Jim. I have been coming to class since I graduated and when I started, it provided a valuable access point for professional training and to connect with the dance community in Birmingham. Since then, I have grown as an artist, planted myself and put down roots in the Midlands dance sector, delved into inclusive practice, and even taught my first Pro Class earlier this year! Now I get to give back to the programme behind the scenes.”
