What a fantastic weekend it was as WOW! Fest returned to Walsall Arboretum for its second edition! Across 2 incredible days, we welcomed over 1,000 visitors to celebrate outdoor arts, dance and community in the heart of Walsall.
Audiences enjoyed an inspiring programme of performances, including our very own Out of the Deep Blue and Street Games, alongside BLOOM(s) by Levantes Dance Theatre, Who Do You Think I Am? by Nua Dance, Cloudscapes by Gobbledegook, BOOKS! by Tit for Tat Circus and the awe-inspiring skills of Sign Spinning UK.
Our Next Gen Stage came alive with energy, opening with an uplifting Zumba session led by Zumba with H, followed by fantastic performances from St Giles’ CE Primary School, Stowlawn Primary School, Grace Academy Darlaston, St Thomas CE Primary School, Leamore Primary School, Windsor High School & Sixth Form, Short Heath Junior School, Breakout Performing Arts, Kingley Performing Arts, Connection Dance and Making Waves – DanceFest. It was truly wonderful and moving to see so many young people and older community members together showcasing their talent and creativity.
Visitors also had the chance to take part in exciting low-flying aerial workshops, giving people of all ages the opportunity to experience the thrill of aerial movement. Throughout the festival, artist Alice Tanasie created a beautiful live mural inspired by stories shared by the local community about Walsall Arboretum. Supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the mural became a vibrant celebration of the park’s memories, people and stories. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, performed, volunteered, partnered with us and helped make WOW! Fest 2026 such a special celebration. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Walsall Arboretum next year!
